October is here and so is the Balloon Fiesta!! Ever since the hubby and I have been together for over 3 years now we have always made time to go at least once. Last year we took LJ, but we got there kinda late and with the funky weather we only got to see one balloon going down.. Sad stuff! This year we thought because he loves balloons lets wake up at the crack of dawn and take him for the morning mass take off. Umm.. It didn't work out quite like we thought!
We made sure to arrive at the balloon fiesta early to get the full experience. And it turned out that everything was pretty much delayed because the weather was windy. Showing up at 5:20am wasn't such a brilliant idea after all. It always happens though you can never guess what the weather will be like for this event all week.
We at least froze our buns off as a loving happy family haha We invited my parents as well so we had someone to take pictures of us. Yay!

Stopped by a few of the souvenir tents to get him a bit more amazed as we waited for the wind to slow down.

And then he got distracted as other kids were blowing bubbles. He wanted to play too.

And then he was ready for his nap!! Let's hope he doesn't pay us back tonight for waking him up super early.
So because of the wind the balloons were able to take off (what we wanted to see). But here's a picture of the previous day and the take off.
We will be going again this Thursday for the special shape balloon glow. Hopefully we have better luck and can see more special shapes!!
